How to take a screenshot on an iPhone or iPad
Published 17 June 2010 02:57 PM (Article ID: 104)

"A picture is worth a thousand words" as the saying goes.  You may not realize it but there is a way to take screenshots of what you see on your Apple device (iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad).

Press the HOME button at the bottom of the device and while pressing the HOME button, press the SLEEP/POWER button at the top of the device (one click) and the screenshot will be taken.  You'll hear the camera sound.  Now when you plug the device into your computer the photo will be available to sync to the computer and you can then provide the image as desired.
